Give A Day. Get A Disney Day.

wdw_castleRIf you haven’t heard about the “Give A Day. Get A Disney Day” campaign, then you might need to remove yourself from beneath whatever moldy rock you’ve been living under for the past few months.

In an effort to get 1 million Americans to volunteer in their communities, Disney is offering a free ticket to Disneyland or Walt Disney World as a “thank you” for their time and energy! How cool is that?

What’s even cooler is that I get to help organize this grassroots campaign to get organizations “certified” and volunteer opportunities entered into the online portal! I’ll admit that I’m still in a bit of shock, but that’s okay! I work best when I’m in a state of “shock,” so it works to my advantage.

If by the slim chance you haven’t seen any of the commercials, you can go here to see what it’s all about.

I’ll be working as a Regional Leader, so if you’ve got any questions, you can shoot them my way if you like. It’s my goal to help Disney meet its goal to inspire 1 million people to volunteer — I’m confident that it can be done!

The program begins January 1, 2010 and will go until Dec. 15, 2010 or until all tickets have been distributed.
