If you’re like most people, scheduling a doctor’s appointment can be a pain in the arse… you’re put on hold for extended amounts of time, and just when you think your long wait is over…

Frustrated, you pause, breathe deeply, and yell, “WHAT THE…?!”
We’ve all been there, but as of October 27th, a new service has entered the healthcare reservation world! It’s name: ZocDoc.
ZocDoc first made its premier in NYC, but now… it’s made its way to Washington, DC! Gone are the days of patientily waiting while a receptionist puts you on hold only to say, “Umm… we’re like, booked. Sorry.” *Click*
With this service, you simply login, search for your doctor (or another one if yours isn’t listed), click on one of the available timeslots, and… Voila! You’ve just scheduled your own appointment in under a minute! With all that extra time, you could stay at work a bit longer instead of bouncing out early, or… you could stay at work and sneak in an illegal nap… under your desk.
I’d go with an illegal nap.
ZocDoc enters the Washington, DC scene with something like 21,000 available appointments on their first day, and it’s only going up from there! I don’t know about y’all, but I’m totally stoked about this service because when you’re sick, do you really want to chat it up on the phone?
Sure… about as much as I want to see Roseanne naked. *cringe*
Some of you who read my blog aren’t in NYC or DC, and that’s okay! Just head on over to ZocDoc.com and vote for their next location! If I had to guess where it’d go next, I’d say Atlanta, San Francisco, or Chicago, but it’s not my choice alone, so head on over and vote!
It’s great to see a company really tackling this much-needed healthcare need because one can only take hearing *click* so many times in their lifetime.
